Sometimes you just need to spontaneously go and take photos on a Thursday evening. So that’s just what I did.

I’m a great believer in spontaneity because I think planning is the most destructive thing in the world. John Cassavetes

Now I can’t say I always agree with Mr Cassavetes, being a plan-o-holic myself with my 15 alarms and reminders that go off daily, and not to mention my lists (and lists of lists). But spontaneity IS necessary, what a dull world we would live in if we didn’t have moments such as these. Adventure is everywhere and spontaneity often makes that adventure a reality.

Thanks to Nats for standing around in the freezing wind (thanks Cape Town’s Cape Storm for the cold font) and joining me for my mini afternoon adventure. There’s always something so magical about evening light, illuminating everything in a gentle glow before the darkness envelopes it.

So here they are, a few of my favorite from the lot. The result of a spontaneous photography itch finally satisfied!
